Since I was sixteen I've carried a dream. To worship God with the gift He gave me, and to help build something that serves other worshippers. For a long time, that dream stayed exactly that. A dream.
It wasn't that I didn't care. I cared deeply. But caring and moving are two different things. I kept waiting for the right moment, the right job, the right amount of money, the right confidence. And while I waited, years went by.
I don't want to live the life I'm given. I want to live the life I was called to.
The day I drew a line
On my birthday this year I made a decision. For the next twelve months, everything points towards one thing: growing into the worship leader God has called me to be. Not famous. Not followed. Ready.
I'll be honest. Writing this makes me nervous. Putting yourself out there is vulnerable, especially when it's the thing you care about most. But I've learned that the nerves don't disappear before you move. You move, and then they get smaller.
Starting small, staying faithful
I'm not starting with a big plan. I'm starting with three simple things every day: meeting God before I meet anyone, training my voice, and writing something down. Small things, done faithfully.
Kadeshi is part of that. A place where I'll share what I'm learning as a worship leader, honestly and as it happens, so that anyone sitting in church with a gift and no idea where to start knows they're not alone.
If that's you, I'm glad you're here. Let's grow together. And let's never forget who stands at the top. Only Jesus.
